How to Install Apps on Android TV

It is often difficult to access many Android Apps from the Google Playstore as the apps available for download differ depending on the type of Android Device.

For Example, many Apps that are available for Mobile devices are not available for Android TV.  This means that some APP will have to be sideloaded.

Downloader

One of the best apps for sideloading custom App is Downloader. This App which can be downloaded on any device from the Google playstore will enable you to download any App and install it.

Downloader allows Android TV owners to easily download files from the internet onto their device. You can enter a URL which directly points to a file, or you can sideload the web browser plugin to download files from websites. 

Android TV installation checklist

1. Connect to WIFI Network

2. Connect to your Google Account

3. Ensure "Developer Options" has been enabled on your device (About > Android device build press 8 times)

4. Install the relevant apps from the playstore

5. Configure your device to Developer mode

6. Install Xplorer, and connect Web storage Dropbox acc xstreamtv28@gmail.com 

7. In explorer install Wolf Launcher, Greek TV and download into the Download folder the images\koditv-1920QR.jpg

8. Configure Wolf Launcher and setup background koditv-1920QR.jpg which contains the QR code for instructions

9. Open TVBRO and create 3 favorite shortcuts from Xstream-tv.com; Live TV, Greek Series, GR Music

10. Install VPN Surfshark or Nord if VPN is required

11. Setup M3UIPTV with raw/eJJKUVHG

12. Change account to the new owners account once setup is complete, 

13. Set device to Apps only Mode Settings -> Account -> Select Account -> turn on Apps only mode
